Abstract

This article examines the concept of blended learning, its potential and challenges in the context of foreign language education. It presents various media-based methodological approaches, resources, projects and models (e.g. Rotation, Flex, Self-blend, Online Driver) and concludes that blended learning contributes to a high levels of motivation and self-awareness, rendering language learning more effective in view of current challenges in modern language education.
