Abstract

The digital transformation of our society is a global phenomenon that also significantly impacts teacher training. In addition to the digitalization of teaching and learning environments at schools and universities, and the new demands on required competencies, the shift in leading media—from a book culture to a culture of digitality—must also be emphasized (cf. KMK, 2021, 3; Stalder, 2016). At the same time, the availability of license-free digital teaching materials (Open Educational Resources, OER) varies greatly depending on the subject, with smaller subjects generally having fewer resources available. The author of this article took this situation as an opportunity to design and conduct a project seminar for Master’s teacher students training to become teachers of Russian as a foreign language. As part of this project, learning videos for the subject of Russian were created and subsequently made available for free use by teachers in schools.
