Abstract

Due to its idiosyncratic form, poetry can prove particularly apt for not only conveying an attitude or personal experience to readers, but also involve them in sharing the presented views and emotions. This invitation is strengthened by the auditive level of poetry readings. Drawing on four poems (in Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian and Macedonian) from the platform “lyrikline”, the paper indicates how this feature of poetry can be used in language teaching, in particular for intercultural issues.
